Valuer alert: Residential Valuation Standing Instructions

The module was released on Tuesday, 1 October, 2013 and must be completed by Tuesday, 31 December, 2013

Following the implementation of the Residential Valuation Standing Instructions in October 2012, the Australian Property Institute, in conjunction with the Residential Valuation User Group, has developed an online training module to ensure that residential valuers understand the appropriate use and importance of the Standing Instructions.

Completion of the Standing Instructions module is compulsory for valuers undertaking residential valuations on bank panels (lenders’ requirements may vary). Valuers seeking a place on a panel must complete the module before they can commence panel valuation work.

The module was released on Tuesday, 1 October, 2013 and must be completed by Tuesday, 31 December, 2013. The module will be offered free of charge to API members undertaking panel valuations. Two CPD points can be claimed upon successful completion of the module.

To participate in the module, please complete the registration form here and return it to the API National Office. Login details and a user manual will then be forwarded to each registered valuer by email.

Further information and the Standing Instructions can be downloaded from the API’s website here.
