ACT CPD Calendar

Read about recent and upcoming CPD events, with hosts such as Canberra Airport group and the ACT Industry Forum

In the first quarter of 2014 the API held two successful Continuing Professional Developments (CPD) events.

The first event was a site inspection of the Canberra Airport’s new terminal. Thank you to our hosts Capital Airport Group. This event was oversubscribed and provided attendees a behind the scenes look at the operation of the airport, including the new international terminal and baggage handling facility.

The next event held was the ACT Industry Forum. The Industry Forum is the ACT Division’s flagship event and again was well attended. The topic this year was “Infrastructure – Fueling our cities' growth”.

This event covered topics including Capital Metro and high speed rail, as well as industry and economic Insights from St. George Bank and the Master Builders Association. The Land Development Agency provided an overview of the upcoming land release program and initiatives that the ACT Government is taking to stabilise land supply.

The keynote speaker at the lunch was Senator Zed Seselja, who spoke about our Federal Government’s plan for the future, in particular the red tape reduction initiative through “Repeal Day”.
