WA event: Future Perth

The theme of this year's API WA Division State Conference is future focused, examining what Perth will be like in the next five to 10 years

The Australian Property Institute WA invites members to attend its State Conference on 17 July, 2014.

The conference will be held at the University of Western Australia, in the Octagon Theatre and Undercroft and is a premier event for property professionals and broader professional groups.

The program has been developed on the feedback from previous years and will again present a very high level half day afternoon session of presentations which conclude with a cocktail function.

The theme of this year’s API WA Division State Conference is exciting, future focused and will encourage high level thinking while examining what Perth will be like in the next five to 10 years.

Greater Perth is undergoing an immense amount of development and change that is being described by commentators as “unprecedented” in the city’s history. Billions of dollars of investment will deliver new opportunities to transform how residents live.

The 2014 API WA Division State Conference will examine the projects that are underway and how they will affect the inhabitants of Perth.

Presentations will commence with the award-winning social researcher, best-selling author, and influential thought leader Mark McCrindle, who will use demographics to give a vision of Greater Perth in the future.

Delegates will then hear from Western Australia’s leading minds about new projects, transport, planning, housing affordability, availability and values.

Speakers include:
Mark McCrindle, Principal, McCrindle Research
Emmerson Richardson, Senior Transport Planner, Jacob
Marion Fulker, Chief Executive Officer, Committee for Perth
Robert Butler, Deputy Lord Mayor
Gavin Hegney, Hegney Property Group
Luke Willcock, General Manager Metropolitan, Landcorp
David Airey, President, Real Estate Institute of Western Australia

CPD Points – 6 API Points, Department of Commerce CPD Points pending.

I look forward to welcoming you and your colleagues to the Division’s premier event for 2014.
