API appoints firm for Structure and Governance Review

The review is due to be completed in time for the API’s next Annual General Meeting in May 2015

The Australian Property Institute (API) has announced the appointment of Melbourne-based Change Management Systems (CMS) as its consulting partner for the organisation’s Strategy, Structure and Governance review.

The project will commence immediately, with the review due for completion in time for the API’s next Annual General Meeting in May 2015. CMS will communicate with associated industries, members and staff, with stakeholder forums to be held in both metro and rural areas of each state.

API Senior Vice President Tyrone Hodge says CMS managing director David Ryan and his team have a proven record of working with organisations in the challenging, yet motivating process of producing a strategy and structure that aligns with the goals of the organisation.

“This review is the most vital of the resolutions that resulted from the 2014 AGM. David Ryan already has a thorough understanding of the API, having assisted our Victorian Division on strategy and structural matters over the last two years,” Mr Hodge says.

“CMS offers a unique combination of expertise, capability and relevant knowledge of the API and its current issues. They will work with us in building a new strategy, constitution, operational structure and governance process that will deliver the future API members want.”
