The CPD calendar

Throughout 2013 the API has hosted a range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events. These events have been well attended, with a strong line-up of well-informed professionals able to share their experience and provide an interpretation of the ACT property market.

What’s happening in the Institute?

API had a Trade Booth at the recent Careers Expo at Epic on 31 July and 1 August 2013. The feedback was that the lack of a Canberra-based online degree was a negative for potential new entrants.

Financial update

As your Treasurer, I can report that the ACT Division is on track to deliver another good financial result in 2013.

Professional Excellence Awards

Victorian and Tasmanian property industry leaders gathered for the recent 13th annual API Excellence in Property Awards at the Grand Hyatt, Melbourne.

AVSB and APSB membership applications

In accordance with the API by-laws, members and divisions are now invited to submit applications to participate on the Australian Valuation Standards Board (AVSB) and the Australian Property Standards Board (APSB) from 1 January, 2014.
