The University of Wollongong's Sustainable Buildings Research Centre is scheduled to next year host a course on the green retrofitting of commercial buildings.
The course, which was originally to be held this month, has been tentatively scheduled for 28 March, 2014. Energy Efficiency Enhancement through Retrofitting of Commercial Buildings will provide companies and individuals with knowledge to heighten energy efficiency through the retrofitting of commercial buildings.
On top of discussing numerous retrofit applications, the course will discuss the measurement and evaluation of actual energy performance. This greatly benefits both those wishing to reduce and monitor energy consumption in buildings and engineers who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of energy efficiency enhancement.
A key objective is to empower attendees with awareness and understanding of the key issues involved in implementing effective building retrofits to realise optimal economic and environmental benefits.
The SBRC has additional energy efficiency training for engineers courses coming soon, including a two-day course on Energy Auditing and Decarbonisation of the Built Environment on July 3 and 4, 2014.
