The Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers is hosting the 27th Pan Pac Congress in Singapore from 21-24 September 2014 at the Orchard Hotel, Singapore.
The Pan Pacific Congress of real estate appraisers, valuers and counsellors (PPC) is an organisation of national valuation professional bodies in the Asia Pacific Region, which began in the 1950s.
PPC comprises valuation bodies from Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and the USA. The congress is held once every two years. The Australian Property Institute (API) hosted the previous congress in Melbourne in 2012.
The event serves as a useful platform for industry experts in the region, as well as the world, to establish rapport and interact, exchange views on practices and methodologies. This raises the level of professionalism of attendees to better serve clients.
The theme of the Congress is Sustainable development: Challenges facing the valuation professions – taking environment, economics, equity, cultural and heritage issues into perspective. Other topics will be presented too.
