Melbourne property developer, Mohan Du, has won the API Victoria’s ‘ISPT Young Achiever of the Year’ award.
The award, sponsored by ISPT, was given during the API’s 15th Excellence in Property Awards on 16th October at Melbourne’s Savoy ballroom at the Grand Hyatt.
The 28 year old founder and managing director of Capital Alliance Investment Group was recognised by the Australian Property Institute for the considerable responsibility he accepted at a young age and the results he delivered for his organisation.
API (Vic) President Aldo Galante said: “The judges have recognised [Mohan's] considerable drive, vision, work ethic and commendable community mindedness.”
Mohan has a seven-year pipeline of local projects worth approximately $1.2 billion.
The past year has been particularly noteworthy for Mr Du and his company, with the near completion of M Docklands – a 19-level mixed-use tower featuring the Docklands’ first five-star hotel.
During the ceremony it was heard how Mohan’s meteoric rise up Melbourne’s property ladder is a story epitomised by hard work, property savvy and strategic access to the booming capital markets.
Commendation recipients for the award included Aveline Suen of Charter Keck Cramer, and Michael Tiemens of Peak Property Group.
“Winning this award puts the icing on the cake on what has been a very enjoyable and successful year for Capital Alliance,” said Mr Du.
“As a passionate Melburnian, my vision is to turn the world’s most liveable city into an international beacon for beautifully designed, innovative, supremely liveable and workable landmarks.
“While it’s a great honour to win this prestigious award, the thing I’ve been most proud of so far in my career is creating jobs, investments and lifestyle changes in my home city, and I will continue to do just that.”
