Changes to NSW building laws

The Home Building Amendment Act 2014 was passed by the NSW Parliament on May 28, 2014, and contains numerous amendments to the Home Building Act 1989.

Queensland Government passes new building reforms

New off-the-plan reforms to various property laws that recently passed in Parliament are aimed at protecting families buying new homes as well as revitalising Queensland’s construction industry.

Notable construction and planning reform

This month saw some notable changes to construction and planning legislation, both on national and state levels, including the launch of new APCC procurement guidelines, amendments to the Queensland Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004, and further advancement of WA planning reform.
